Pirelli believes that rubber of all three compounds will be used.

      Pirelli tire suppliers anticipated from the very beginning of the weekend that all three compounds would be used in the Sunday race, and as if to confirm this, Charles Leclerc not only completed the sprint distance on the Soft compound on Saturday but also secured 2nd place.

      Dario Marraffusca, Pirelli Motorsport Director: "The decision by Ferrari and Haas to use soft tires in today's sprint demonstrated that the red-marked tires could be one of the options on Sunday – alongside Hard and Medium, which are likely to be the more probable choice.

      Thus, all three compounds may be utilized during the race.

      The soft tires, without losing effectiveness over the sprint distance, provided more confident grip on the track, allowing Charles Leclerc to maintain a high pace, which was necessary to catch up with Lando Norris.

      Relatively low temperatures also helped, and the Ferrari driver managed to keep the tires in the optimal working range. It was also confirmed during the sprint that overtaking in Zandvoort can be quite challenging, and this important factor will be taken into account by the teams when assessing the losses associated with making a pit stop.

      Therefore, the fastest tactical scheme would be a single pit stop strategy, starting on the Medium compound and switching to hard tires between laps 27 and 33. An alternative option would be to start on Soft and pit between laps 26 and 32, after which the remainder of the distance would need to be covered on Hard, which is approximately a second slower.

      If it weren't for traffic, the two-stop strategy would also seem competitive in theory, but as mentioned earlier, it's important to consider that overtaking on this track is difficult.

      However, this strategy should not be ruled out in case a virtual safety car is announced, or if there is a chance to use an early pit stop strategy – provided that the traffic situation allows it.

      The level of thermal degradation recorded today was moderate, and considering that during the Grand Prix the drivers will likely try to conserve their tires, this factor will not be decisive in choosing a strategy, at least in the case of the two harder tire compounds."
