Mark Webber is 50 years old!

      Former Formula 1 driver Mark Webber is celebrating his fiftieth birthday today. He dedicated 35 years to motorsport – first to his career and then to young drivers, for whom he became both a manager and a mentor. One of his clients is Oscar Piastri, with whom Mark has gone through a challenging journey but achieved the goal. In the Straight Talk podcast, Webber talked about the specifics of his work… Mark Webber: “The first two to three years of a career are the most difficult, but in most sports, if you manage to spend them at a really high level, it won’t simplify the task ahead, but it will allow you to break through. I have always been interested in people who have had long successful careers. It says a lot about their professionalism, discipline, and success. I followed the careers of Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton, Lance Armstrong in cycling, and Maria Sharapova in tennis. A phenomenal woman. She had her scandals, but it’s incredible how she approaches everything. As a mentor, you need to be able to digest this information and understand how to help a young driver, how to contribute. I got immense pleasure from helping Oscar in the early stages of his career. It wasn’t easy to build the right strategy, but the main thing is he is incredibly talented, so I gladly engaged in this.”
