Carlos Sainz: Williams is only ahead of Cadillac.

      The stage in Zandvoort became the sixth consecutive one in which the Williams drivers failed to earn points. After finishing the Sunday race, Carlos Sainz grimly noted that in terms of pure speed, the team is only ahead of Cadillac and is unable to compete with other rivals.

      "The results are roughly in line with expectations – we are at the back of the pack," says Carlos Sainz. "Right now, we are only ahead of Cadillac. When it comes to race pace, Aston Martin is in a completely different league, so we couldn't compete with them. However, we couldn't compete with anyone else either.

      Looking at the last five races, we have been roughly at the same level – that is our current situation.

      For me, the weekend was very challenging due to the unstable performance of some car components, which did not allow us to find the right setup for the race. The team gathered a lot of data that needs to be analyzed considering the issues I faced. I'm sure this will help us better understand the reasons and assist us in the future."
