The November stage of MotoGP in Qatar is on the verge of cancellation.

      The organizers of MotoGP, the world motorcycle racing championship, are set to cancel the stage that was originally planned to be held in Qatar, but due to the alarming situation in the Middle East, it has been moved from April to November. According to The Race, since there is still a long way to go before tensions ease, a decision has almost been made to abandon this stage altogether and to forgo attempts to replace it with a race at another track. Thus, the total number of stages will be reduced to 21. The main concern is the fact that just a few dozen kilometers from the Lusail International Circuit is a U.S. Air Force base, which was one of the targets for missiles launched from Iran during the initial stage of the conflict. An official decision on the cancellation of the stage is expected in the coming days, which clearly contrasts with the optimism of Stefano Domenicali, who is confident that Formula 1 will be able to hold the Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix.
