The ACI Autoclub commemorates a significant event in the history of Ferrari.

      Starting today, the Ferrari F399 is on display for the public at the Milan headquarters of the Italian national automobile club ACI. This car was driven by Michael Schumacher, Eddie Irvine, and Mika Salo in Formula 1 in 1999, helping Scuderia win the Constructors' Cup, a feat that the Italian team had not achieved since 1983.

      The car will be there until Friday – thus, ACI is celebrating that memorable achievement and drawing attention to the upcoming Italian Grand Prix, although a full house is already expected at the Monza racetrack.

      Interest in the race on the legendary track is particularly high this year for several reasons. Firstly, Kimi Antonelli, a 20-year-old driver from Bologna, is leading the World Championship, and although he drives for Mercedes, Italian fans have already taken a liking to him.

      Secondly, 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Michael Schumacher's first victory behind the wheel of a Ferrari – including that year, in 1996, he also won the Italian Grand Prix. Finally, 20 years ago, in 2006, it was at Monza that the seven-time world champion announced his retirement, and three weeks later, he achieved his last victory in Formula 1, but that was at the Chinese Grand Prix.

      "We are opening the doors of our historic headquarters, where the famous Formula 1 car is currently on display, to somehow thank the fans and our city," said Pietro Meda, president of the Milan automobile club. "We are showcasing to the public the Ferrari of the Michael Schumacher era, and this is not an ordinary event – it is a genuine act of celebration that pertains to the sporting, cultural, and emotional spheres of life."

      It would be symbolic if the upcoming Italian Grand Prix were won by one of the Ferrari drivers, but we will find out closer to Sunday evening.
