      Esteban Ocon has expressed his disappointment after Haas allocated its sole latest-spec Ferrari power unit at Monza to Oliver Bearman. Ferrari's second ADUO upgrade is available to its customer teams this weekend, but Haas initially received only one unit and opted for Bearman's car. "I won’t have the ADUO. So I’ll be racing with the older engine, which is quite a setback," Ocon acknowledged.

      Team principal Ayao Komatsu explained that the decision was based on balancing previous technical priorities between the two drivers, with Ocon having received upgrades for brakes and power steering first earlier in the season. "The last two upgrades went to Esteban," he stated. "This time, it’s Ollie’s turn."

      Komatsu conceded that the situation is less than ideal, especially considering the scrutiny surrounding Ocon’s seat for 2027. "It would have been better if we had at least two new power units," the Japanese team boss noted. "But now we’re at Monza, where power is essential."

      Nevertheless, he justified the choice to give the only new unit to Bearman, saying, "It would be a shame to leave the more powerful engine unused in the pits." Bearman finished FP2 in P8, while Ocon was ten places behind him.
