      Oscar Piastri believes that the increasing trend of longer contracts in Formula 1 doesn't alter his perspective on his future, despite the rising confidence surrounding several of his competitors. Max Verstappen is in a long-term agreement with Red Bull, while Piastri's teammate Lando Norris has recently secured his commitment to McLaren until 2030. Piastri's contract extends only for the next few years, and he remarked that more stability is generally beneficial for drivers. "I think it's probably advantageous for us as drivers to see a bit more stability in contracts overall," the Australian stated. However, he noted that long-term contracts don't entirely eliminate speculation. "Max has had a contract this whole time, yet there has been ongoing discussion about it almost every year for the last two or three years," Piastri explained. He added that most significant deals likely include exit strategies. "I'm sure there are clauses that allow for exit options at various points. I would be surprised if extensive contracts existed without some flexibility for both the team and the driver," he said. For Piastri, the primary benefit of longer agreements is the indication of mutual commitment. "I think it primarily reflects a commitment to one another. It demonstrates that both parties want to collaborate and strive for success." He also mentioned, "It's reassuring to have a bit more certainty regarding how things will progress."
