Ayo Komatsu: The team lacks resilience

Ayo Komatsu, the head of Haas F1, is unsure of the team's future, in part because of the much smaller number of employees than its rivals. Ayo Komatsu: "We have 330 people working for us - that's too few. What's amazing about our team is that we demand a lot from everyone. Because of the lack of staff, people are doing one, two or three jobs. We did a great job in our first tests with the cars of yesteryear, as if we had been doing it for the last five years. But that's only because people are doing more, taking initiative and thinking one step ahead. but that's wrong. I don't feel confident, the team lacks resilience. We can't bring people to the point of disruption. We need to increase staffing to achieve the goal without feeling like things might fall apart."
