Bernie Ecclestone: Age - it's only in the head

      Bernie Ecclestone has been out of Formula 1 for nine years now, but he's kept his mind clear and his spirits up. In 2020 he became a father at the age of 89, according to some reports Bernie is the sixth oldest father in the history of mankind. His children have an incredible age difference - son Ace will be five in July and his eldest daughter Deborah will be 70 this year. But even at 94, Bernie is not resting. He no longer flies to Grand Prix every week, but his schedule is packed with events and meetings. As before, he's on time for meetings and always returns calls. Everyone needs his advice. One week he is having lunch with Juan Antonio Samaranch Jr, the favorite to replace Thomas Bach as head of the IOC, the next week he is entertaining Serbian business tycoon Dragan Solak, owner of Southampton Football Club. Bernie Ecclestone: "Age is only in the mind. When you get out of bed in the morning, think you are 21 years old. Of course, you have to face it. When you're 80, you say to yourself, 'I can work another five or six years.' Then you're 90. Now I'm told, "You'll live to 120." Obviously, that's bullshit. The last thing in the world I wanted was to be a problem for my family and friends. I want them to go on with their normal lives. I hope my son doesn't see me as an old man.
