Massa has ownership of two premier restaurants in Brazil.

Felipe Massa proudly owns two successful, high-end restaurants in his hometown of Sao Paulo. The 43-year-old retired Formula 1 driver is primarily recognized for his tenure with Ferrari, while he continues to seek resolution from F1 authorities regarding the contentious 'crashgate' incident that potentially deprived him of the 2008 world championship. Although Massa still participates in Brazilian stock car racing, many fans may not realize he is also a restaurateur.

Journalists from the Dutch magazine Formule 1 recently visited the 11-time grand prix winner at his latest establishment, a Chinese restaurant named Song Qi. The menu features gourmet offerings such as steamed scallops and the house specialty, lacquered duck. The publication notes that F1 drivers like Charles Leclerc and Valtteri Bottas have already enjoyed meals there.

Massa remarked, "These days, there’s a Japanese restaurant on almost every street corner, yet oddly, there wasn't a good Chinese restaurant. We decided to fill that gap. The prices are reasonable, but we cater to a higher segment. Our Brazilian chefs also trained in Europe for two months. We aim to provide a special experience for our guests."

He acknowledged that his competitive nature as a racing driver naturally extends into his entrepreneurial efforts. "You strive to be the best," he stated. "In a sense, it’s akin to elite sports. Managing a top restaurant is similar to being part of a Formula 1 team. Everything must meet high standards—both the products and the people. Effective collaboration is essential, from buyers to the service staff, bartenders, and kitchen personnel. Timing is crucial as well. Like in Formula 1, attention to detail is everything. If one part isn’t functioning properly, it can lead to issues in the entire operation."

Massa’s other restaurant, Beefbar, is promoted as the "Best beef restaurant in Brazil."
