Alonso and his friends practiced driving the buggy

Fernando Alonso is actively preparing for his 22nd season in Formula 1 and this weekend he decided to add some variety to the routine method of training. Together with friends, young Spanish rallyists Alejandro Cajon and Diego Ruiloba, he went to the track for the automobile cross and with pleasure raced on an unusual machine - a small buggy, which is also called a cross-cart.

This technique was provided to them by the Past Racing team of Spanish entrepreneur Daniel Alonso, owner of MMR, a company that manufactures a variety of sport bikes.

The two-time world champion shared his impressions of the unusual training session on his social media pages in an extremely brief but expressive form: "Weekend = friends + cars + training + Past Racing", adding to this comment an emoticon representing applause. It should also be noted that Diego Ruiloba's career is now handled by A14 Management, Fernando Alonso's company - the young driver will make his debut in the WRC2 category of the World Rally Championship this year, where he will be playing for the Citroen team.
