Honda is ready to support Yuki Tsunoda
This year, Yuki Tsunoda will spend his fifth year in the "second" Red Bull team – he was again not accepted into the main team for the role of Max Verstappen's team-mate. One of the reasons is that Red Bull's collaboration with Honda is ending.
Now the Japanese company is developing a new power plant for Aston Martin – and hopes to attach Yuki, but when one driver of the team is a two–time world champion and the other is the son of the owner, as in Aston Martin, it is difficult to hope for vacancies.
Koji Watanabe, President of Honda Racing Corporation: "Yuki has been competing in Formula 1 for the fifth year and is quite experienced, so I hope that he can make the best choice.
This is a very important season for him. The location for next year will probably be determined very quickly. I hope he can take advantage of the moment and the opportunity to take the next step. I believe he can do it. But first of all, I want Yuki and his team to achieve the best results this season."
