Ralf Schumacher believes Leclair will beat Hamilton
Ralf Schumacher believes that Max Verstappen will not be able to win a fifth consecutive championship title in the coming season. The former Formula 1 racer is confident that McLaren and Ferrari drivers will participate in the fight for victory.
"I think it was clear last year that Red Bull had a fast car at the beginning of the season, but then they couldn't do anything with it," Ralf Schumacher said on German Sky Sport. "However, thanks to Max, they saved the title.
Max will have to get used to the fact that someday everything ends. I don't think he has a chance this season. Perhaps this will help him decide what to do next, but in any case, the decision will be difficult.
McLaren is ahead of the rest after the tests. They are faster in slow turns. Previously, the front suspension of their car was not efficient enough, but now they have solved this problem. But Ferrari also solved the handling problems. I'm wondering which one of them will be in front."
Speaking about the chances of Ferrari drivers in 2025, Ralf Schumacher suggested that Charles Leclair will beat team-mate Lewis Hamilton: "If anyone will succeed at the wheel of a Ferrari, it will be Charles Leclair.
As for Lewis, when a driver changes teams, it takes him six to eight months to settle in and start making the most of his opportunities. At least that's my experience. It is highly unlikely that Hamilton will become champion this year."
