Verstappen to ignore 'nonsense' videos from Red Bull.

Max Verstappen is reducing his participation in Red Bull’s unconventional social media efforts. According to the Dutch outlet Formule 1, manager Raymond Vermeulen has informed team officials that the four-time world champion is frustrated with the trivial nature of Red Bull's TikTok content in particular.

"Major brands like Oracle, Tag Heuer, and Heineken invest heavily in global campaigns featuring Max," Vermeulen stated. "There are buses circulating in downtown Melbourne adorned with Max’s image—it all appears very polished. Therefore, it feels out of place when I come across a TikTok video where Max is bursting balloons or something similar.

"It’s inappropriate to create such videos with a four-time world champion," he emphasized. As a result, Verstappen’s management is now requiring prior approval of the 27-year-old's involvement in social media activities before any commitments are made.

This shift comes as De Telegraaf reports that McLaren’s CEO Zak Brown recently reached out to Verstappen’s management. Brown acknowledged that it was merely a single phone call to "explore the market." Verstappen also doesn’t deny the claim about his desire to opt out of every Red Bull social media campaign in 2025.

"I prefer serious endeavors," he remarked. "I would like them to produce content that is constructive and offers something that people can learn from. I want to see less of these frivolous TikTok activities," he told Dutch reporters. "I’ve participated in plenty of that type of content by now.

"For instance, rewriting the caravans with Daniel Ricciardo in Spielberg was enjoyable," Verstappen noted. "But the world was a bit different back then compared to now. You engage in something like that once; it’s special. After ten years in Formula 1, not much feels unique to me anymore. Yes, at some point, you have to be more discerning."
