      However, now, after two races of the new season, Lando leads the individual standings after winning in Australia and 2nd place in China. In addition, a week ago he received one prize point for 8th place in the sprint.

      "Lando has proved that he has all the necessary championship qualities," Vettel said, taking part in the next edition of the BBC Sportsworld podcast. "He has the skills, and this year, perhaps, he performs better than in 2024, thanks to the experience gained last season.

      At the moment, it looks like we are going to witness a confrontation between Max and Lando, and this is natural, because McLaren is very confident, and Lando already has a lot of experience. But Max should never be written off, and I think Red Bull will still win back.

      And also let's see who else can enter into this dispute – maybe Mercedes will succeed. Ferrari is also somewhere nearby - this year it is not known how events will develop, because potentially all these teams are already quite comparable in their capabilities."
