Esteban Ocon: I've already settled in well at Haas

Esteban Ocon has spent three races with Haas. At a press conference in Bahrain, the French driver explained how the process of adapting to the new team is going.

Esteban Ocon: "Of course, it can be difficult to get used to a new team, but I was accepted as well as possible. In winter and during the tests, we spent many hours adapting. I can say that I have already settled into the team quite well, although I still have a lot to learn and optimize the approach to the car.

So far, everything is going smoothly, which is exactly what we need. I really didn't want to come to the first race, I realized that we had forgotten to do something in preparation, and I'm glad that this did not happen. The team prepared me well."

Assessing the results of the first three races, Esteban said: "We have good potential, but we need to learn how to unlock it every time and optimize the car for each specific track. The stage in Melbourne turned out to be extremely difficult, which was a shock to everyone in the team. But in China, the car suddenly "came to life." There are more difficulties in Suzuka again, and we are now trying to figure out the reasons.

This weekend we returned to the track that can be called the home of Formula 1. Here we conducted three days of tests, where we collected a lot of data. In a sense, we will continue testing on Friday. We're going to have an interesting weekend - let's see what Sunday's result turns out to be.

Bahrain has a difficult track for various reasons. There are many areas on it where the car should be effective on acceleration. It's interesting to see if the solutions we found in the tests this weekend will work when everyone starts attacking in full force. Following the results of Friday's training sessions, the balance of power will become clearer."
