Charles Leclair: Experiments with settings have yielded results

Charles Leclair qualified third in Bahrain, which was his best result of the season. The Ferrari racer said that the result was made possible by experimenting with settings, which resulted in finding those that suit him.

Lewis Hamilton qualified ninth, losing six tenths of a second to his team-mate.

Charles Leclair (3rd): "To be honest, I didn't expect to be in third place. I knew that I would be able to improve in the final, so in the first and second parts I just waited for the condition of the track to improve in our favor.

The session turned out to be quite difficult, because at the beginning of the final, the car was not handling well on flat tires, but as soon as we put fresh tires on the decisive attempt, it became much better.

I am satisfied. As I said, I didn't expect it, but the result was due to the fact that over the past weekend we experimented with extreme settings and found those that suit me better. And I hope that step by step we will continue to achieve more from the car in the upcoming stages.

The team worked hard to bring new items to this stage. I don't think Bahrain is the right track for dealing with new things, but it's always good to have them. They've given me a small raise, but I hope we'll take another step next week. Considering that the gaps are minimal, the new items helped to take third place."
