Hulkenberg: We got the most out of the car.
Nico Hulkenberg's position in the protocol changed after he dropped out of the race in qualifying – after the end of the second session, the Sauber driver canceled the fastest lap in the first, considering that he had gone off the track.
Nico Hulkenberg (16th): "If you evaluate our performance before the stewards' decision, you can see that we made the most of today's conditions, and therefore I am quite satisfied. When we started qualifying, we knew that it could be a difficult day, because yesterday we did not do the best in the second training session, and the third was interrupted due to a technical problem.
Strong winds and changing grip levels made piloting difficult, but we got the most out of the car, so it was a pity to start 16th after all the efforts in the second part of qualifying were nullified.
It will be difficult to fight for points in the race. It takes a good start and a good strategy, but I have confidence in the team and I know that we will do our best."
Gabriel Bortoleto (18th): "Difficult qualifying. The conditions have changed a lot due to the wind, and our car is very sensitive to these variables. I felt like I had done a good lap, but the car lacked traction and in the end I couldn't go any further.
It's going to be a difficult race tomorrow, but we'll do our best and try to make the most of our opportunities."
