Jack Duane: I've worked very well with the team.

Jack Duane is in a very positive mood before the start of the weekend in Saudi Arabia, partly because the Australian Alpine racer considers the track in Jeddah to be one of his favorites. But the conversation started with the results of the previous weekend in Bahrain, where Jack finished outside the top ten.

Jack Duane: "I have mixed memories of the weekend in Bahrain and the race results - the same applies to qualifying. I was very confident, but we were hampered by the appearance of a safety car on the track towards the end of the Grand Prix, because the cars behind us were on fresher tires.

In addition, we had difficulties with the hybrid powertrain system, which also did not help matters, and it was difficult for me to defend myself from the guys who tried to overtake me.

In general, the end of the race was sour, but before that we confidently occupied a position that, under normal circumstances, would have allowed us to finish ninth and earn some points. So we should try to do it in Saudi Arabia.

I've worked very well with the team: it's clear that I know everyone, but now I'm working with Alpine F1 in full as a driver of the main team and I hope that our relationship will develop. So far, they're getting better and better, including Pierre Gasly and me getting along great.

I have good expectations ahead of the weekend in Jeddah, and I am glad that at least it is not as hot here as in Bahrain. We thought the weather would be hotter. Actually, this is one of my favorite tracks on the championship calendar, it was here that my first Formula 2 race took place, and since then I have been coming here every year.

As for expectations, like Pierre, I prefer to refrain from making predictions, because first we need to check how our car will behave on the track."
