Cowell: Newey doesn't go to meetings or answer emails.

The head of the Aston Martin team, Andy Cowell, gave some details about how the work of Adrian Newey is organized at the base in Silverstone. According to him, the designer is as free as possible from administrative work in order to devote all his working time to developing the 2026 car.

Andy Cowell: "Adrian Newey is one of the best racing car designers. From day one, we made sure to prepare a working environment for him. He attended meetings that dealt with the new regulations and the concepts we were working on. We have agreed on the dates when we need to provide drawings and calculations in order to start building the car in 2026.

Adrian immediately started working with the engineers to make sketches on his board. At the moment, he is busy designing the main elements of the machine. Ninety percent of the work on building the car takes place at the base, and that's where we see Newey all the time.

He has his own office. Everyone who passes by sees him constantly drawing something on his blackboard. Of course, he doesn't go to meetings or respond to emails. He's busy building a fast car, and we all support him in this.

Adrian devotes one hundred percent of his time to designing the 2026 car and has no influence on the current car."
