Alonso qualified in the top ten for the first time this season.

      Fernando Alonso finished tenth in qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix sprint. For the Aston Martin driver, this was the first qualifying final of the season.

      His teammate Lance Stroll was thwarted by traffic in a crucial attempt, and he ended the fight in the first part.

      Fernando Alonso (10th): "It's amazing that I managed to qualify tenth, given the problems with the balance of the car and its unstable behavior. But overall, it's a good day.

      For the first time this season, I managed to reach the qualifying final, and I hope that we can keep up the pace. In the sprint, only the top eight will earn points, but I will try to do my best."

      Lance Stroll (16th): "Qualifying for the sprint was not in my favor. I found myself in heavy traffic on the final fast lap, and I was particularly unlucky to catch up with Max Verstappen on the final straight. Because of this, I lost a few tenths and missed the opportunity to enter the second part.
