McLaren received a warning, Haas was fined
The stewards of the Miami Grand Prix reviewed two incidents that occurred in the first session of the free races with the participation of the McLaren team and Esteban Ocon.
The McLaren mechanics released Lando Norris onto the track, leaving their tools in the cockpit. The driver immediately noticed the problem and slowly returned to the pits. The team acknowledged the mistake during the hearing, so the stewards limited themselves to issuing a warning to McLaren.
Esteban Ocon blocked Lando Norris before turn 17. The Haas driver received a warning for this, and his team was fined 7,500 euros for not warning Esteban in time about Norris approaching from behind.
