Mercedes conducts tire tests at Silverstone
The Mercedes team is conducting two-day tire prototype tests for the 2026 season at Silverstone.
On Wednesday, Kimi Antonelli tested intermediate and rain tires for next season on a shortened 2.6-kilometer version of the track. The Mercedes racer was driving a W15 modified for testing, taking into account the design features of the new tires. Kimi completed 103 laps during the day with a best time of 47:560 seconds.
George Russell will continue the work on Thursday.
