Haas tested Medium on a fast lap

      On Friday in Monaco, the Haas F1 racers showed a good pace on a long series of laps, but they were left behind on a fast lap and decided to work with Medium tires in qualifying mode.…

      Oliver Berman (15th): "It's great to race in Monaco, it's always a challenge. I feel like we made a big step between workouts, and in the second session I was happy with the balance. We tried a short series of laps on the Medium, and these tires worked very well.

      The key goal this weekend is to perform well in qualifying, and we'll analyze the laps on Medium to figure out how to proceed. We have reason to be optimistic, but tomorrow it is important to take the next step."

      Esteban Ocon (19th): "On Friday, usually everyone gradually increases their speed, but there were no serious accidents. I touched the wall a little bit once in turn 16, but the others hit it more often. Unfortunately, we are not very fast yet. There's a lot to do tonight to get up to speed tomorrow."
