Italian politician advises entrusting Ferrari to Briatore

Ignazio La Russa, a veteran of Italian politics who has always sided with the right, and now holds the post of president of the Parliament of the republic, believes that if Flavio Briatore were entrusted with the leadership of the Ferrari team, he would do a good job.

La Russa stated this while taking part in the political program of the Italian Radio Rai:

"Flavio is my good friend. He's great at everything he does. However, Ferrari is in such a position now that even if you appoint the most wonderful manager, I don't think it will be enough.

Unlike my son, I have little to do with engines, but I believe that the issue goes much deeper than just changing the team leader. However, Flavio could be the kind of person who is capable of undertaking serious reforms. He is able not only to make progress, but also to achieve the end result."

Briatore turned 75 this year. At various stages of his career, he led a team from Enstone, which has changed its name several times over the past three decades: first it was Benetton, then it became Renault, but after the "Singapore events" of 2008 and the scandal over the rigging of results that broke out a year later, he He was banned from Formula 1 for many years. But then he returned to the paddock and now he has actually become the head of Alpine F1.

He has never worked at Ferrari, but since the Italian team is currently going through another crisis, it is not surprising that there are very different opinions about what to do to remedy the situation.
