The premiere of the film about Red Bull Racing on Austrian TV
A week before the race in Spielberg, the Austrian TV channel ORF1 will show a new documentary dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Red Bull Racing team. The film, which lasts about an hour, is included in a special edition of the evening sports program, and its title can be translated as: "20 years of Red Bull Racing – from the company of party lovers to the championship team."
According to the ORF announcement, this will be a kind of time travel dedicated to the phenomenon of a team that has won six Constructors' Cups in 20 years of its history, and its drivers Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen have won eight titles between them.
"This documentary tells the story of an incredible success story that began in Austria. The soda manufacturer joined Formula 1 in 2005," the announcement says. "Style?" Bright, loud, and accompanied by fun parties."
Of course, Helmut Marko's memoirs are in the film, and the Red Bull motorsport advisor said in particular: "At first they called us a party team, and then suddenly they saw a new thing! Oh, my God! When we won the first victory, everyone realized that our project was based on a completely different ideology."
This was the plan of Dietrich "Didi" Mateschitz, the founder of the team and co-owner of Red Bull, who passed away in 2022: he managed to realize his dream, and from a mediocre team like Jaguar, which he acquired in 2005, he made the champion Red Bull Racing.
And here are the words spoken in the film by Sebastian Vettel, who won four titles with this team.: "This is a story about how a small Austria created a team that came to the world of Formula 1 with its long-established way of life, and shook and turned it around. In general, it's great that I also took part in this!"
