Elbon: We need to understand why there are so many withdrawals.

Recently, Williams' performance has not been the best, and today at the Silverstone press conference, Alex Albon was asked about the team's mood before their home British Grand Prix.

Alex Albon: "First of all, we need to understand why we've had so many DNFs. The issue seems to be recurring, and we've conducted some checks to try to determine what is causing these retirements. We will need to adjust our plans and try to get to the bottom of it, but the problem hasn't been fully resolved yet.

Of course, it would be great to reach the finish line on Sunday, and right now we are all working hard. In recent days, the team base in Grove has made many efforts to sort things out; I believe we already know which areas of the car need special attention. I hope that during the first practice session, we'll see some results that can guide our future work.

As for the upcoming Grand Prix, Silverstone is special to me because my dad took me there once to watch a race for the first time. The sound of the engines, of course, made an impression, but it was also a bit scary. I was about five or six years old then, and I couldn't imagine that one day I would be racing such cars myself.

I have to admit that back then, the engines really were louder... Years passed, and I also got my racing license at Silverstone, at the now gone karting track. Overall, when I think about my career, I always remember Silverstone.

Of course, our schedule this weekend is more packed since it's a home race for most teams, so there are many people, sponsors, our families, and all that around. The interest in Formula 1 is very high, but I believe it’s growing year by year, and you can feel it at all the races this season.

Mainly, we've learned to plan the weekend's schedule so that it's as balanced as possible, leaving as much time as possible for rest. But there are a few stages in the calendar where we're fine with increased workloads, and Silverstone is one of them.
