Russell: On the last lap, the car seemed to come alive.

George Russell is pleased with his fourth-place qualifying finish, as Mercedes cars lacked speed throughout the weekend...

George Russell (4th): "I'm very happy because we were behind the leaders all weekend. I didn't expect to fight for a good position, especially considering Ferrari's pace and McLaren's always being among the frontrunners. But on the last lap, the car seemed to come alive, allowing us to achieve a good result.

Based on recent results, we may not be the fastest in the race tomorrow, but the forecast predicts cooler weather, which could help us. Anything can still change – we need to stay prepared and seize any opportunity."

Kimi Antonelli (7th): "The weekend has been challenging, but we showed a decent result in qualifying. My lap wasn't outstanding; I faced difficulties in the second sector, but I managed to drive the rest cleanly. The car lacks a bit of stability at high speeds, and at Silverstone's high-speed track, that's not helpful.

On my last attempt, the rear of the car wasn't as stable as I wanted, which cost me some confidence and probably a bit of time.

We'll see what happens tomorrow. I will lose three grid spots for the incident in Austria, but I hope conditions will help me make up for it. The forecast predicts rain, and it will be much cooler than on Friday. I hope that will help."
