Leclerc: The updates should fix the car's weaknesses.
After the British Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc explained that Ferrari is still working on refining the car. The Monegasque expects that the upcoming updates will address the SF-25's weaknesses.
Charles Leclerc: "Ultimately, we lack speed. The team is preparing updates that should fix some specific flaws of the car. I hope these new parts will help us navigate certain corners more reliably.
I don't want to go into details, but the car has a few weak points. We identified them and will try to fix them as quickly as possible."
At Silverstone, Charles was among those who, after the formation lap on intermediate tires, went to the pits for slicks. The decision did not pay off, but Leclerc assures that this was not the only reason for his 14th place finish: "Of course, it didn't help, but even without that, I was nowhere all race. I was losing a second per lap and also made quite a few mistakes.
I had issues just keeping the car on the track, so the day was incredibly difficult. We need to analyze everything to understand what could have been done better in terms of settings and driving to avoid such a bad result. But the race turned out to be extremely challenging."
