Frederic Vasseur: It's good when drivers admit their mistakes.

After qualifying at Silverstone, where Charles Leclerc posted the sixth fastest time, the Monegasque driver stated that he was unable to achieve a higher result due to his own mistakes. Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur is pleased that the driver admits his errors but believes that Charles can sometimes be too hard on himself.

Frederic Vasseur: "Perhaps for more than ten years, one of Charles's qualities has been his ability to blame himself. But one of his faults is that he blames himself too harshly! As a team leader, I appreciate when drivers say, 'Okay, my mistake.' It's good when they acknowledge errors because it helps the team avoid going down the wrong path. After all, we're all human.

Charles was able to achieve higher race pace through different setups, but as a result, the car became more difficult to handle in qualifying. On the other hand, two years ago, I told him myself that points are earned on Sunday, so when choosing car settings, more attention should be paid to the race."
