Antonelli: I have no worries about the contract.

      Kimi Antonelli does not have a contract for the next season yet, but Toto Wolff intends to keep the young Italian in the team. At the FIA press conference in Belgium, the Mercedes driver discussed his future.

      Kimi Antonelli: "Honestly, I have never had any concerns about the contract. I know the situation from the inside and understand what the team wants for the future. Also, Toto clearly conveyed his thoughts on this, which was nice to hear.

      We have a good lineup of drivers. George and I work very well together, and we are both trying to make the team improve. In my opinion, we are successful, and the atmosphere in the team is good."

      Assessing his results in the first half of the season, Kimi said: "It was tough because I experienced not only ups but also quite a few downs. The European part of the season did not go very well. Honestly, it was quite poor.

      I made some mistakes, there were technical issues, but I tried to learn and gain as much information as possible each time, even though it was not easy with back-to-back weekends.

      It was difficult, and my weak point turned out to be qualifying. I think it has to do with my attempts to put everything together in a fast lap. When it comes to gaining those last few tenths, I can't find the right rhythm and make that step.

      But there were also positive moments in the first half of the season, as I learned a lot and achieved some good results. However, in the second half, it's important to take a step in the right direction."
