Charles Leclerc: Fighting with Lewis is not on my list of goals.

Charles Leclerc said he has no goal of overtaking Lewis Hamilton this season. The Ferrari driver believes that when the car's speed doesn't allow for victories and titles, battling with a teammate takes a back seat.

Charles Leclerc: "For now, fighting with my teammate remains secondary. You can have different attitudes towards such rivalry, but when you're fighting for fourth, fifth, or sixth place, it's not too interesting to me. Of course, when we start competing for wins, I'll pay more attention to my teammate, but right now, I don't focus on it.

I came to the track to learn as much as possible from Lewis, because it can help me become better. Then I will focus on doing my job as well as I can. That will mean I have to pass Lewis, but not only him.

My main goal, like the team's, is to bring Ferrari back to the top. Currently, fighting with Lewis isn't on my list of priorities, as neither of us is vying for interesting positions in the championship standings.

Ultimately, both of us are trying to make Ferrari better. He offers his ideas, I offer mine. We hold meetings, discuss proposals and areas where we want to improve. We work together and move in the same direction so there’s no stress."

When asked about the updated rear suspension that he managed to test during a filming day at Mugello, Charles stated: "I didn't notice any differences in the car's behavior, but I won't go into detail about how the suspension works. It would be foolish on my part to comment on what has changed. We'll get all the answers tomorrow on track."
