Gasly: The team made the right decisions during the race.

Alpine's best result in the Belgian Grand Prix was Pierre Gasly's tenth place. The French driver stated that achieving this result was helped by setting up the car with low downforce, which made the car fast on the straights.

Franco Colapinto finished nineteenth, which was his worst result of the season.

Pierre Gasly (10th): "A very intense race, and I am glad we made the right decisions and scored one point. The team can be satisfied with the result.

We made several correct decisions, such as setting up the car with low downforce, which allowed us to attack and defend on the straights, and we also switched to slick tires at the right moment when the track started drying out. I am very happy with that, as well as with the fact that our hard work paid off.

I scored only one point, but after a race where I had to defend for so long against many opponents, we can be pleased.

Every year, the weekend at Spa becomes special for me for several reasons. It was nice that my family and Antoine Hubert’s mother came to the race. We scored one point and are heading to Hungary, where the final race before the summer break will take place next week."

Franco Colapinto (19th): "The race was difficult and long for us. Considering the conditions, there were opportunities to fight even starting from fifteenth position. In the first laps, the track was very wet, but then it started drying, which should have worked in our favor because we set up the car with low downforce, betting on straight-line speed.

The start was good, and before the pit stop, I caught up with the drivers ahead. After switching to Medium tires, I started having problems with speed in the traffic. Then I made another pit stop to try to overtake Carlos Sainz, but in the end, I couldn't get close to him.

Excellent performance by Pierre, who finished tenth and scored one point for the team. For me, the weekend was challenging, but we will continue working hard to prepare for the next race in Hungary."
