Pirelli announced the tire compounds for the rest of the season.

Pirelli has finalized the tire compound allocations for the remaining Formula 1 races of the season. Compared to last year, there have been some adjustments based on information gathered by Pirelli engineers. At Zandvoort, teams will receive tires one step softer than in 2024 — C2, C3, and C4. In Baku, tires will also be one step softer — C4, C5, and C6. In Austin, C3 and C4 will remain as Medium and Soft, while the Hard compound will be one step harder — C1 instead of C2 in 2024. A similar approach will be used in Mexico — C4 and C5 will stay the same as last year, with the Hard being C2 instead of C3. For the São Paulo Grand Prix, all three compounds will be one step harder — C2, C3, and C4 — essentially returning to the 2023 configuration. In the remaining races, tire choices are the same as last year: in Monza, Singapore, Las Vegas, and Abu Dhabi, teams will use C3, C4, and C5; for the Qatar Grand Prix, the trio of C1, C2, and C3 will be the most hard compounds.

Mario Isola, head of Pirelli’s motorsport division: “We decided to immediately specify the tire compounds for all remaining races so that teams can prepare as well as possible for the upcoming rounds. Some changes were made after consultations with FIA and the championship promoter, based on collected information and data obtained from simulations. The choices are always aimed at balancing the effectiveness of one or two pit stops and enhancing the spectacle and quality of the show. There is no single solution to achieve this goal, but ignoring the realities of racing conditions will not lead to accurate answers.”
