Technical innovations presented by teams in Hungary

The closer it gets to the end of the season, the fewer new parts teams bring, shifting more focus to the 2026 cars.

In Hungary, only three teams introduced new components – Red Bull Racing, Aston Martin, and Racing Bulls – but they are all dedicated to solving typical Hungaroring problems – increasing aerodynamic downforce and improving cooling system efficiency.

This does not mean other areas are stagnant – engineers and drivers are striving for more from the new solutions introduced in previous Grands Prix.

      Red Bull Racing

Red Bull Racing brought an upgraded front wing with an additional element, providing, together with the rear wing, a larger surface area necessary for high downforce on the Hungaroring.

Additionally, the inlet and outlet air ducts were reprofiled with larger cross-sections for better brake cooling.

      Aston Martin

Aston Martin also introduced a front wing with a "more aggressive design" to be used alongside a rear wing with a larger surface area – together they will ensure the high downforce required for the race at Hungaroring.

      Racing Bulls

Before the Hungarian round, Racing Bulls focused on providing more effective cooling for the car’s components – last year, the team experienced overheating issues.

To prevent brake overheating, engineers modified the shape of the front brake drum components, allowing optimal airflow to pass to the rear of the car.

To ease engine thermal management, the cooling plate area in the rear of the sidepods was increased.
