Lewis Hamilton: I don't think anything will help me.
Against Charles Leclerc's pole position, Lewis Hamilton's twelfth place in the Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying appears to be a failure. Immediately after the session, the seven-time world champion labeled himself as "useless" on Sky Sports and suggested that Ferrari replace him with another driver. In a subsequent 59-second interview with the print press, Lewis continued to self-criticize: "I just drove terribly. That's all. I'm simply not fast enough. The problems are not related to the car. Throughout the weekend, I never felt confident behind the wheel. In all sessions, the same issues." When asked whether possible rain during the race might help him recover, Lewis replied: "I don't think anything will help me right now."
