On Wednesday, the second day of Pirelli testing took place at Hungaroring. Today, the teams Alpine and Ferrari are working on the Hungarian track, with cars driven by Franco Colapinto and Charles Leclerc, respectively.
For the Argentine driver, the day began with a serious crash – Franco lost control of his car in the high-speed eleventh turn and collided with the barrier. The driver was taken to the circuit's medical center for examination, which revealed no injuries.
Later, the Alpine team released a statement: "During the second day of Pirelli testing, Franco Colapinto crashed his car in the eleventh turn. Franco was taken to the medical center, and the examination showed he is fine."
In the second half of the day, Pierre Gasly was supposed to replace Colapinto at the wheel and complete the testing. However, Alpine's participation in further testing is now in question, as the car is seriously damaged and it is unclear how long it will take to repair it.
