The Renault manager assured that Alpine will remain in F1.
Last week, François Provo became the new CEO of Renault, succeeding Luca de Meo in the position. Following the leadership change, there were concerns that the French automaker might reconsider its involvement in motorsport, but Provo assured that the Alpine team will continue participating in Formula 1.
François Provo: "Formula 1 remains part of our strategy to promote the Alpine brand, and I have no intention of changing that.
The only priority for the Formula 1 team is results. We need to improve our performance this year and, of course, succeed in 2026 with the new car. That is the main task ahead of us in Formula 1."
At the end of this season, Renault will complete the development and production of its own power units for Formula 1. In 2026, Alpine cars will be equipped with customer Mercedes engines.
