Dennis Hauger became the Indy NXT series champion.

Norwegian driver Dennis Hauger competed in European junior series until last year, and his main achievement was the Formula 3 title he won in 2021. He then moved up to F2, but fared worse there, although he occasionally made the podium, after which he decided to continue his career across the Atlantic.

In 2025 Hauger made his debut in Indy NXT, and we wrote back in March that he began winning races immediately. And yesterday Dennis clinched the title in this American series early, with one round to spare. He has six wins to his name, and in total he stood on the podium nine times, including yesterday after the race at the Milwaukee Mile oval, where he finished second.

Hauger races for Andretti Global, and on Sunday the entire podium was taken by drivers from that team: Mexican Salvador de Alba won, and third was Australian Loki Hughes, who is also third in the Indy NXT standings.

“For me, as a rookie in the series, this season with Andretti has been incredibly great!” Dennis commented. “I am very proud to race for this team and to have spent this season with them. We had setbacks too, but there were more successes, and winning the championship means a lot to me.”

It is also worth mentioning another event in the world of junior series that took place yesterday in Europe, in the United Kingdom: at the classic Brands Hatch circuit Abbi Pulling finished on the podium for the first time in the national GB3 series race; she is last year’s F1 Academy champion.

Whereas Abbi previously competed mainly in women’s series, she now races for Rodin Motorsport on equal terms with men, and, as we can see, she is doing pretty well here too.

“Third place in today’s race at Brands Hatch! We worked so hard for this,” Abbi writes on her social media pages. “Getting on the podium in a championship with such a high level of competition is a very important achievement. There’s still a lot of work ahead, but I will never forget this moment.”

Abbi became the first female driver since Jamie Chadwick to reach the podium in British championships of this level.
