Fernando Barrichello debuts in Formula 3.
Fernando Barrichello will make his Formula 3 debut at the season finale in Monza on the first weekend of September.
The son of former Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello will replace James Hedley in the AIX Racing line-up. In addition, the team confirmed that the 19-year-old Brazilian will contest a full Formula 3 season next year.

Fernando Barrichello began his career in formula racing in 2022 in Brazilian Formula 4, scoring two wins in his debut season and finishing seventh in the drivers' standings.
In 2023 Barrichello competed in Spanish Formula 4, and in 2024 he finished third in the European Formula Open. He continues to race in that series this season — after five rounds he has one win, three podiums and is sixth in the drivers' standings.
