Ricciardo is selling a unique Aston Martin hypercar.
Daniel Ricciardo has put up for auction an Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar built to his bespoke order. It’s a rare car in any case, produced in a limited run of 150 units, and the one that belongs to the former Formula 1 driver is simply unique, since the options alone total more than €160,000.
Ricciardo’s Valkyrie is expected to fetch an impressive price — the future new owner will have to pay between €2.4 and €2.8 million.
Ricciardo ordered this car, chassis number 089, through Aston Martin’s dealer in Monaco, and the additional equipment and trim, tailored to the famous client’s preferences, were handled by Q Division, a special division of the British company. Fans of the James Bond films will easily guess why it’s called that.
The car is painted in a color with an unusual name: Dichroic Dawn, which can be roughly translated as “two-tone dawn” or “two-colored dawn.” Moreover, the car even has its own name — Badger Blue. It’s best to refrain from interpretations, as they would all be inaccurate, but one thing can be said: the phrase is reminiscent of Ricciardo’s well-known nickname — Honey Badger.
The odometer shows just 160 km, so it is practically new; Daniel didn’t drive it, it was simply kept in his private collection. It comes with a two-year maintenance program provided by Aston Martin, and the factory warranty has been extended to August 2027.
Recall that this model is the product of a collaboration between Aston Martin and Red Bull Advanced Technologies, with the project personally overseen by Adrian Newey. The car’s technical specifications — formally road-legal, although primarily intended for track days at racing circuits — approach those of top-category WEC sports prototypes.
The Valkyrie is equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine built by Cosworth, integrated with a hybrid system; the maximum power output of this powertrain reaches 1,160 hp.
The auction will be held in Knokke‑Heist, Belgium, and is scheduled for October 10.
