Williams filed a request with the FIA to review Sainz's penalty.

Williams has submitted a request to the FIA to review the stewards' decision at the Dutch Grand Prix concerning Carlos Sainz's 10-second penalty.

The Spanish driver received not only a 10-second penalty but also two penalty points for his collision with Liam Lawson, bringing his total to four over a 12-month period. Carlos served the penalty during the race, and even if the stewards review the decision and rescind the penalty, it will not affect the results of the Dutch Grand Prix. However, the team wants the stewards to clarify their decision.

"We can confirm that we have submitted a request to the FIA to review Carlos's penalty in Zandvoort," Williams said in an official statement. "It is important for us to understand how we can race in the future, and we hope for a positive outcome."
