Berman: I can no longer afford to take risks.

Oliver Bearman has already accumulated ten penalty points, having received two of them in Monza for a collision with Carlos Sainz, and now risks missing a race if he gets another two before November 2. In Baku the Haas driver said he will change his approach to on-track battles to avoid a possible disqualification.

Oliver Bearman: "The fact is I got a penalty [in Monza] regardless of whether I agree with the rules or not. It's hard for me to accept such a verdict, but rules are rules. Although in that situation I never once lost control of the car. I was simply fighting with another driver into the corner, and I was given no room at all.

It's a shame it turned out that way, because I feel the penalty was unfair, but rules are rules. As I said, I expected they would leave me more room, but that didn't happen.

It's a pity, but I can no longer afford to take risks. I think next time I'll overtake on the outside."
