Stroll: We look better on tracks with long straights

At the Baku circuit Lance Stroll achieved his first podium in Formula 1. On Thursday before the start of the race weekend the Aston Martin driver pondered whether the street circuit would suit the AMR25.

Lance Stroll: "I have pleasant memories of the Baku circuit, and I like coming back here. The track itself is challenging – it's especially hard to find the limit in the braking zones, and you need to drive as close to the walls as possible. It's one of those tracks that's interesting to drive if the car is alright.

I don't know how we'll perform this weekend – we'll see. The midfield fight is very tight, and the gap between the teams is minimal. At some weekends we are competitive, and at others we run into more problems.

It seems we look better on high-downforce tracks and on circuits with long straights. In those conditions our car is more efficient. In Monza we were convinced that the car is quite competitive. Fernando was fighting for points right up until his suspension broke."
