Liam Lawson: We gave it our all!
At the Azerbaijan Grand Prix the Racing Bulls team, thanks to Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar, scored eleven points. This result allowed them to rise to sixth place in the Constructors' Championship, ahead of Aston Martin. The race in Baku was the second of the season after Monaco in which both Racing Bulls drivers finished in the top ten.
Liam Lawson (5th): "The result was a reward after such a race, especially the last ten to fifteen laps, which were very tense. I'm a bit disappointed given the starting position, but realistically we didn't have the pace to fight with the guys ahead despite all the hopes. Fifth place is a serious result for us, considering how tight the fight is. The car was quick all weekend, so thanks to the team. I'm glad I scored points. We gave it our all!"
Isack Hadjar (10th): "Before the start of the race my car developed a hydraulic problem, but the guys did an amazing job and fixed everything in time. I had a good start, but unfortunately, like yesterday, I made a few mistakes and lost two positions. I had great pace on the Hard tyres, but lacked speed on the Mediums. The team and I need to understand what's causing that. There was a lot of positive this weekend, and we gathered information to analyse. Liam drove a perfect race, and I'm very happy for the team because both cars scored points. I'm looking forward to the round in Singapore — I'm confident we'll perform well."
