Günther Steiner: Ferrari, it's time to wake up
In Baku Ferrari ceded second place in the Constructors' Championship to Mercedes. Former Haas F1 team principal Günther Steiner said on the Red Flags podcast that it's time for the Scuderia to wake up...
Günther Steiner: "I believe the main loser in Baku was Ferrari – their drivers finished eighth and ninth, even behind the Racing Bulls and Williams. And then that confusion at the end, when Charles couldn't get the position back, and Lewis 'fell asleep', letting him through because he was focused on something else. They need to wake up if they want to take second in the championship, because at the moment they are no longer second.
The fight for second in the Constructors' Championship promises to be fierce. Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull are so close that it's completely unclear who will end up ahead. If Mercedes has a good race and wins, and Kimi can score a few points, they will be able to break away. I think Red Bull will have the hardest time. It's unlikely Max will win many more races this year."
