Alex Albon: I hope we can build on our success.

After the podium in Baku, Williams are looking ahead to the Singapore Grand Prix with optimism…

Carlos Sainz: "We had a great weekend in Baku, it was fantastic to get back on the podium, everyone was pleased with the result, but that race is in the past and we are thinking about what lies ahead.

The race in Singapore is one of the toughest of the season, both physically and mentally, but if everything comes together you get real satisfaction from success. I have great memories of competing at this circuit. I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and continuing the fight. Let’s go!"

Alex Albon: "The team achieved an excellent result in Baku. I hope we can build on that success in the remaining races.

I’m looking forward to the start of the weekend in Singapore; for me it’s a home round, I’m happy to return to the fans and to race under the floodlights. We face very different conditions than in Baku – a narrow track, a race that is physically demanding because of the heat and humidity – it’s important to acclimatize quickly and gradually add to our pace.

We’ll focus on putting in a strong qualifying performance and securing the best possible starting position – in Singapore that’s extremely important."
