Singapore Grand Prix: Track changes and DRS zones

      On the eve of the Singapore Grand Prix, the FIA outlined changes to the Marina Bay circuit and confirmed the locations of four DRS zones. Compared with last year, the pit lane width has been increased by one metre and the maximum permitted speed has risen from 60 km/h to 80 km/h. Asphalt has been replaced on sections from the second corner to the exit of the third, from the entry to the sixth to the exit of the seventh, in the ninth corner, and from the exit of the fourteenth to the exit of the nineteenth. Local patches were laid at turns five, six, thirteen and fourteen. Singapore retains four DRS zones. The detection point for the first DRS zone is located in turn four, and the activation point is 48 metres after turn five. The detection point for the second and third DRS zones is 102 metres before turn thirteen. The activation point for the second zone is 78 metres after turn thirteen, and the activation point for the third zone is 100 metres after turn fourteen. The detection point for the fourth DRS zone is 105 metres after turn seventeen, and the activation point is on the exit of turn nineteen.
