Berman: It's important to be able to bring everything together.
On Thursday in Singapore Oliver Berman lamented the missed opportunity to score points in Baku…
Oliver Berman: "Hitting the wall was frustrating, but it was another reminder that it doesn't matter how fast you are if you can't put everything together.
Qualifying was incredibly tough; many drivers from the top teams made far more serious mistakes than I did, but it doesn't change anything for me. That said, I'm not too hard on myself. On the exit of the corner where I clipped the wall there was a tailwind of 25 km/h, which hadn't been present in any session or on any day of the weekend.
It was very upsetting — we had a good weekend, the car was quick, the team was doing a great job, and I had been driving well up until that lap.
After the summer break I improved and had several good weekends, but Baku was not easy. However, I wouldn't change my approach in that qualifying because I don't think it was wrong. Just unlucky. One or two centimeters to the side and there would have been no crash."
