Haas drivers have not started using the 2026 simulator yet.
"Haas remains entirely focused on the current season"
Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu has stated that the team has intentionally refrained from providing its drivers with early simulator access to the 2026 Formula 1 car concept. He explained that the development of the upcoming car is still progressing too rapidly for the drivers' feedback to be valuable. "We’re making strides in development, but the concept is in constant flux," Komatsu mentioned. "There isn’t a stable foundation for the drivers to practice on yet," he told reporters. "There's no benefit in acclimating them to a car that is likely to change significantly in two months."
With six races left this year, Komatsu emphasized that the team’s attention remains solidly on the current championship battle. Haas is currently ninth in the constructors’ standings with 46 points, just behind Sauber with 55 points. "The midfield competition is extremely tight," Komatsu remarked. "That’s why we want our drivers to stay entirely focused on the present season."
"After Abu Dhabi, the 2026 project will be much further along - so it makes sense to incorporate the simulator at that time." The 2026 regulations will bring about one of the most substantial technical changes in Formula 1's history, integrating new active aerodynamics with advanced hybrid power units.
